About The Park

Park Hours: Open Sunrise to Sunset

Nature Center Hours:

  • 1 pm – 4 pm Tuesday and Thursday, All year
  • 10 am – 4pm Wednesday and Friday, All year
  • 12 pm – 5pm Saturday and Sunday, From March 1st- October 31st

Located on 94 acres just south of La Porte, Luhr Park features four ecosystems: upland forest, wetland, prairie, and pond (catch and release fishing), paved trails, picnic shelter rental, picnic tables, restrooms, fishing pier, playgrounds, boardwalks, bring your own bag toss games, and No-Leash Dog Exercise Area. There is also a geocache located in the park.

Luhr County Park Nature Center

Luhr Park is also home to the Nature Center where children of all ages can find hands-on environmental displays and exhibits.

Nature Center Hours:

  • Tuesday & Thursday 1- 4 pm, All year
  • Wednesday & Friday 10 am – 4 pm, All year
  • Saturday – Sunday 12 – 5 pm, March 1st- October 31st
