Attention teachers, community groups, and families! Use your creativity to make a garden gnome for our Pioneer Days event at Creek Ridge County Park on September 27th and 28th. Attendees will vote during Pioneer Days by putting tokens in the jar of their favorite gnome. The gnomes with the most tokens will have a chance at winning a prize.

Contest Rules:
- You must first register with the nature center staff by calling Luhr County at (219)324-5855.
- Any school, business, organization, or family can participate.
- Your gnome cannot have any political, religious, drug, or sexual content.
- Your completed gnome must be given to the parks no later than September 15th. Please drop off completed gnome to Luhr County Park Nature Center staff.
- Use any materials you like. Our gnome stands 2 1/2 feet tall. Please make sure that all material is weather proof and will not blow away in the wind.
- Your gnome needs to have a title with your organization or group name underneath.
- Be creative, you could make your gnome look like a famous musician, it could be scary for Halloween, or dressed like a popular movie character. However, it must be original.
- LaPorte County Parks is not responsible for any items stollen or lost from your gnome while on display at the parks. So please use materials that are not valuable.
- LaPorte County Parks has the right not to display the gnome if it is offensive in any way.
