No-Leash Dog Exercise Areas

The “Bark Parks” are a great place to bring your dogs to exercise. The areas are fully fenced in. The “Bark Parks” at Bluhm and Creek Ridge feature many events for the dog to enjoy like; Tire Jump, Dog Walk, Window Jump, Rover Jump Over, Doggie Crawl, King of the Hill, and Pause Table.

Registration and Daily or Annual Permit are required for each dog present. Owners must present their No-Leash Dog Permit upon request. Daily fees and Annual fees are paid on site. Fees collected are divided equally between the Parks Department and Small Animal Shelter for the upkeep of the facility and operational costs.

  • Luhr County Park (1 acre)

Expires December 31st of registration year.

Place envelope with deposit into the collection box provided, or mail checks payable to La Porte County Parks at 0185 South Holmesville Road, La Porte, IN 46350. 

WASTE BAGS ARE FOR USE IN THE DOG PARK ONLY!

Your dog must be on a leash in the park at all times, except when inside the fenced no-leash facility. You must obey all the posted rules at the facility.

Owners are required to have ALL dogs’ vaccinations up to date and current before using the facility.

All pets must be under owner’s control at all times and are the responsibility and liability exclusively of the owner.

Fees collected are divided equally between the La Porte County Parks Department and the La Porte County Small Animal Shelter for the upkeep of the facilities and operational costs.
